Calgary and Seattle, 2012 – present

MakeFashion is a non-profit wearable technology organization bringing wearable technology to the runway. MakeFashion features year-round workshops, symposiums, and performance events. The annual runway gala in Calgary, Alberta highlights the work of makers and designers wearable electronics, accessories and performance pieces.

As a Co-Founder I launched MakeFashion from a coffeeshop discussion to an internationally-acclaimed leader in the wearable technology space. I direct programs, curate designers, create and maintain brand and visual identity, and oversee all design, marketing, and social media.

In four years we’ve successfully designed, developed, and built over 30 wearable technology pieces and have showcased at shows internationally including Shanghai, Rome, The Bay Area, and New York Fashion week. We have been featured in prominent publications including The Walrus (print), Wall Street Journal, and Avenue Magazine (2x). We’ve put the spotlight on Calgary as an innovative, creative hub, and have accelerated the careers of fellow ACAD alumni.
